Preparing the Surface

Before applying 1/4 inch wide double-sided clear tape, it’s essential to prepare the surface where you intend to use it. Ensure that the area is clean and dry, as dust, dirt, or moisture can affect the tape’s adhesion. Use a mild cleaner and a cloth to wipe down the surface, and allow it to dry completely before proceeding.

If you are attaching the tape to a porous material, like fabric or paper, consider testing it on a small area first. This step will ensure that the tape won’t damage the material or leave residue behind when removed.

Applying the Tape

Once your surface is prepared, you can start applying the double-sided tape. Cut the desired length of tape from the roll, making sure to keep the edges straight for a cleaner application. Peel off one side of the tape’s backing and carefully stick it onto the prepared surface. Press down firmly to ensure good contact.

After securing the first side, gently peel off the remaining backing. Be cautious not to pull too hard, as this could lift the tape from the surface. Once the backing is removed, position your second item and press it firmly against the exposed adhesive side of the tape. Hold it in place for a few seconds to ensure a strong bond.

Tips for Best Results

To achieve the best results with your double-sided tape, consider the temperature and humidity of your working environment. Extreme temperatures or high humidity can compromise adhesion. Ideally, apply the tape in a controlled environment for optimal performance.

Adhesive Acrylic with solvent base formula

Temperature resistance(℃) range 80-120

Additionally, avoid stretching the tape during application, as this can lead to a weaker bond. Instead, lay the tape down flat and smooth it out to eliminate any air bubbles. If you encounter any issues, such as peeling or lifting, simply reapply the tape to ensure a secure attachment.
