Selection should start with the actual turf backing, substrate, exposure, traffic and removal requirement rather than hand tack alone. Main risks include visible joints, edge lift, contaminated or damp contact surfaces, movement before adequate contact develops and adhesive transfer during removal. Where the surface, coating or outdoor condition is uncertain, a representative sample seam should be tested before full use.
